Coming to America
Would you like me to come and speak about my book?
Hello all. This is a message aimed at Abbey readers in the USA, of whom I know I have quite a few these days. It’s about my forthcoming book Against The Machine.
Against The Machine will be published in North America on 23rd September (although you can pre-order it already if you just can’t wait.) As part of the process of trying to get people to buy the thing, I’ll be coming over to the US for a speaking event in New York City on 28th September: there’ll be more news on that here when I have it. You’re all invited.
But if I’m going to come all that way, I want to stay a while and speak about the book in some other places too. I am well aware of quite how enormous the USA is, so I won’t be able to go everywhere I’d like to - at least not this time around. But I would like to stay a week or so and spread the word.
But where? Well, this is where you come in. I am open to invitations, within a week or so of 28th September this year, for speaking events about the book in the USA.
If you run a bookshop or a venue or somewhere equally appropriate, if you think you could organise a speaking event or conversation around the book, or if you have any other suitably intriguing proposals that would help me to get the word out, I’m very much open to hearing them.
If you’d like to propose something, you can email me on office@paulkingsnorth.net. I can’t promise that I’ll be able to take up every offer that comes in - time and geography are both limiting factors - but I’d love to be able to set up an interesting speaking tour if there’s interest.
Thanks for reading.

Paul,
If you travel all the way to New York you might as well take another step and visit Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures Group may be able to facilitate a visit and lecture.

The Group sponsors talks at both the architecturally beautiful Carnegie Music Hall (large venue) and a smaller Auditorium at the same location in the back of the building.
If you can make arrangements with them there will be at least one person attending . . . me!
I will be purchasing and reading your book.
Dear Paul,
Please be on the lookout for an invitation to speak at our 2025 Touchstone conference in Chicago on September 25-27. The venue is minutes from Chicago's O'Hare airport.
