Thanks, Paul.

Lol for the message : "no horses at the well".

Personally, I wouldn't have minded having my horse's blindness cured, but not if I had to go blind myself TO PAY FOR IT.

We are in good country again with protection and healing, the good man standing... debts and entrances.😊 And the children with their stories ... in continuo.👍

Mr. Kingsnorth, the essay below was in my inbox this morning and I though you might find it interesting….in the off-chance that you don’t already know about it.

Two excellent links. One from Kingsnorth, concerning the writings of the school children. In their own hands! (Paragraph #7).

And t'other in the Comments, by The Hermit's Way, about the ancient forests of the south-west coast and a wonderful re-wilding project. Equally magical.

My thanks to both, and the rest of you, too.

‘There’s no trace of him in the records’. That applies to so much of our history. Doesn’t mean he didn’t exist, I prefer to go with the local folklore than the books, coz either could be right. Stories are more us humans than hard evidence based on recorded facts I think. Certainly often a lot more fun!

Talking of saints looking the same I remember seeing a documentary that features a man who made plaster statues of saints. On one statue he would paint he would paint the robe green and call it St. Patrick, but he would also paint the robe of the same statue red and call it St. Jude!

Is the message no horses at the well or no Protestant landlords?
