In October last year, I delivered a lecture at Canisius University in Buffalo, New York. I had been asked to talk about the Christian relationship to the natural world, and this talk was my take on the question.
I built the lecture around one specific inquiry: is the Christian relationship with nature one of dominance and destruction, as its critics so often claim? If so, why, and what can be done about it? And if not - what are those critics missing?
This is a big question, and an urgent one. This talk is my own little attempt to offer one answer. As ever, I’d love to hear the thoughts of my readers on the matter.
