We haven't met here at the Abbey of Misrule before, but I've long been following and finding sustenance in your work. Thank you for the enormous effort you have been making for so many years to put into words what's haunting so many of us. I'm happy to hear you are recovering from the long stretch of, as my Croatian writer friend once put it, "over-thinking and under-breathing," and more, that you are planning to go on pilgrimage. You could not be living in a better place for that. Thirty years ago, after reading the Way of a Pilgrim and being introduced to the Philokalia, I got a leave from my teaching job, a small research grant, and a round-the-world air ticket and set off for Greece, Israel, Ukraine, and Russia, following that Orthodox thread. The experience set the course of the rest of my life. May you have that too.

A publishing...cabin. I think the literary world would be in better shape if more books orginated in cabins. Best wishes with the publishing venture, and the pilgrimmage.
